Heave-Ho, Pulling Up the Radish (BL)

The Ghost King, Qi Jiangyuan, was violent and ruthless by nature, but he suffered from a severe illness and his days were numbered. He urgently needed a ten-thousand-year-old ginseng to serve as medicine to save his life.

Tricked by the other ginseng spirits, Can He happily delivered himself right to the door, only to be hoisted up by the green leaves on his head by the Ghost King.

He immediately began putting on airs: “If you want me, fine, but my requirements are high! The soil must be soft and free of stones, the watering must be just right—neither too much nor too little—and I must bask in the sun every day… Satisfy me, and only then will I grant you a taste of my roots!”

Seeing the man remain silent, the little ginseng flailed in the air: “Hey! Did you hear me?”

The surroundings fell into a deathly silence. The gathered ghosts slowly turned their gazes toward Can He, who was being dangled by his leaves by Qi Jiangyuan, and let out a collective, sharp intake of breath…

But the Ghost King, famous for his cruelty, simply said: “Fine.”

And so, Can He moved his base of operations to the Ghost Realm to continue his tyrannical ways.

At the slightest inconvenience, he would throw a tantrum or threaten to hang himself, vowing not to treat the Ghost King’s illness.

Later, when Qi Jiangyuan’s old ailment flared up, Can He grumbled and cursed under his breath, yet his heart softened, and he climbed onto the man’s bed anyway.

Qi Jiangyuan looked at him and gave a soft chuckle:

“Baby, the truth is, you’re just a white radish. You can’t cure anything.”
